Marketing Coordinator
Job Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator supports the day to day execution of ESP’s marketing initiatives across channels, campaigns, and events. This role works closely with the internal marketing team to translate strategy into consistent weekly output that increases awareness, participation, and engagement across ESP communities.
The Marketing Coordinator works as a marketing lead on fundraising events, working with community teams, Development, and program leaders to deliver the event marketing plan. This person will have ownership of Email Marketing, becoming the internal expert in Mailchimp as well as email best practices. They will utilize analytics to review each initiative, offering suggestions to the team on how to improve performance. In addition, they will be responsible for website updates and analytics. The Marketing Coordinator will track internal marketing requests and handle the contact us email account.

Top Five Responsibilities:
- Build and deploy email communications and newsletters through Mailchimp, ensuring accuracy, segmentation, and timely delivery. Use analytical tools to measure performance and recommendations for improved strategy.
- Support marketing campaigns and events by coordinating timelines, assets, and communication across teams.
- Create and organize digital marketing assets including graphics, images, and content libraries using Canva and other tools.
- Update website and provide web performance analytics.
- Maintain marketing calendars, track requests from internal teams, and ensure projects move forward smoothly and on schedule.
Detailed Functions and Responsibilities:
Email Marketing and Newsletters (Mailchimp)
- Build and deploy newsletters and campaign emails.
- Manage lists, tags, and segmentation to support targeted communications.
- Execute recurring communications and event promotions.
- Proofread and ensure accuracy of all outgoing communications.
- Using Mailchimp analytical tools, report performance of each campaign and weave that knowledge into strategies that increase performance.
- Act as main point of contact from marketing with community event fundraisers
- Develop support materials, using contract creative when necessary to implement desired goals and timelines.
Content and Design Support
- Create simple graphics and layouts using Canva and ESP brand standards.
- Prepare images and copy for web, email, and social channels.
- Maintain organized shared content libraries and digital assets.
Project Management
- Track marketing requests from Development, Programs, and community teams.
- Maintain organized marketing calendars and task tracking systems.
- Ensure campaigns and communications launch on time.
- Department support as needed
Website Maintenance and Analysis
- Make all updates to website
- Report web traffic analytics and make recommendations based on results
Qualifications & Experience
- 1 to 3 years of marketing, communications, or related experience.
- Experience using Mailchimp or similar email marketing platform preferred.
- Basic Canva design capability.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
- Clear written communication and proofreading ability.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work across departments.
- Deep belief in ESP’s mission and values.
- Experience working in a full, part time, or volunteer capacity with the disability community is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to ESP communities across Georgia occasionally and attend some weekend or evening events or programs
Job Details:
- Compensation: $50,000
- FLSA Status: Exempt, Salaried, Full-Time
- Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Supplemental, 401k matching after one-year, generous PTO policy
- Supervisor: Interim Director of Marketing
- Location: Candidates must be willing to work from the ESP Headquarters in Athens, GA with the opportunity for limited hybrid flexibility.
- Job Type: Hybrid/Remote (with occasional travel to ESP community locations in Athens, Atlanta, Rome, Savannah, and future locations)
